Attorney Don Hebert
When asked what he likes most about practicing law, Don always says that
it is the fact that people,
and families, who first came
to him as clients remain many years later as both clients and friends.
It is not unusual for Don to represent a client through the preparation
of estate planning documents and then years later represent the client's
children as they plan to maximize the value of their inheritance.
Don has
more than 20 years of experience in administering complex probate estates and litigating probate issues.
Recent cases include an award of out-of-state real estate for a minor,
an award of oil, gas, and mineral rights in the Midwest to a client, and
an award of a Toyota Camry for a client. In the case of the Camry, it
was not the value of the vehicle that was so important to his client,
but the fact that the person claiming it had no right to it. Attorney
Hebert pursued the case with the same level of commitment that he did
for the potentially million dollar case involving the mineral rights case
in the Midwest.
Attorney Hebert has served in many New Hampshire Bar Association leadership
positions, including terms on the New Hampshire Bar Association Board
of Governors, the board of the New Hampshire Bar Foundation, the board
of New Hampshire Legal Assistance, and the board of the Legal Advice and
Referral Center. He currently serves on the New Hampshire Bar Association
Pro Bono Policy Governing Board. He has been awarded numerous Bar Association
honors including the L. Jonathan Ross Award for Outstanding Commitment
to Legal Services for the Poor.
He is also licensed to practice in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
With his real estate broker's license in New Hampshire and soon to
be licensed in Massachusetts, he also owns his own real estate company,
Dark Horse Properties, LLC.
